How to organize your app

Now let’s learn how to organize your app by adding content and features into it.

The steps are:

  1. Go to the app builder view
  2. Edit your bottom menu
  3. Choose where the menu items link to

1. Go to the app builder view

Click on your account name on the left side menu, and select “Apps”. Click on the app you want to edit.

You can always create a new app with AI based on your website, or using app templates.

Here you can manage your app. On the left, select “Main screen” if you’re not there yet (Picture 1).

On the bottom of the screen you’ll see the bottom navigation of your app (Picture 1B).

2. Edit your bottom menu

To edit your bottom navigation, go to the right side of the screen and scroll down to “Bottom navigation”. There you can edit texts, colors, and fonts. (Picture 2)

You can see the menu items on the grey background. In this template the defaults are “Home”, “Sports” and “Entertainment”.

You can add navigation buttons by clicking on the green “+ Add item” on the bottom (Picture 2B). Add an icon for the menu item from your own images or Choicely’s library. Delete them from the “x” on the top right corner of each menu item (Picture 2D).

3. Choose where the menu items link to

Finally you can choose where these buttons link to (“Edit navigation”).

There are several options for linking, choose the type of content you want to use first (Picture 3A) and then select the content you want to use from the list (Picture 3B).

The content for these menu items needs to be created first. To learn more about creating articles, votes and other types of content, watch tutorials in “Creating content into your app” and “Engagement features” sections.

You can also design the buttons for specific content and link them later.

Now you know how to organize content in your app with Choicely!
