Choicely is proud to be the official voting platform for the 6th VP Choice Awards, the most followed and engaged awards event in the Philippines.
The VP Choice Awards celebrate the most influential personalities, brands, and organizations in the Philippines across multiple industries. There are over 100 voting categories such as Travel, Lifestyle, Technology, Business and Entertainment.
The Awards is known for its audience-driven voting format, where “the Pipol” (the people) have the power to decide the winners. Now in its 6th year, the event continues to grow, attracting millions of votes, an ever-expanding list of nominees, and a star-studded awards night featuring industry leaders and fan-favorite celebrities.
VP Choice Awards is organized by a publication called Village Pipol and its parent company RED Entertainment, Inc.
6th VP Choice Awards Project Director Inyi Yruma emphasized how this collaboration aligns with the long-term vision of the awards:
“The 6th VP Choice Awards has always been about putting the Pipol’s voices first. Our collaboration with Choicely also ensures that every vote is counted fairly and securely. This is a major step toward a more credible and sustainable voting system that will elevate the experience for years to come.”
For the first time, the VP Choice Awards introduces a dedicated mobile voting app, available on iOS and Android, alongside a web-based voting platform launching March 14. This marks a major milestone in making voting more accessible and interactive.
Choicely, founded in 2014, is the company behind major voting apps such as Miss Universe, several national Eurovision qualifications, and Love Island TV Shows across multiple markets.
Apps in 40+ countries also use Choicely’s global voting system that can handle millions of simultaneous votes. With this partnership, VP Choice Awards ensures a transparent, accessible, and secure voting process for the Pipol.
Choicely CEO Mr. Kaius Meskanen shared his excitement for the partnership:
“We are very excited to be a partner of the 6th VP Choice Awards. This event is special because of the number of categories, nominees, and how engaged the Pipol are. We are preparing the best possible system to ensure a smooth and secure voting experience.”
Assuring a fair and secure voting experience is a top priority for the 6th VP Choice Awards and Choicely. The voting platform, built on Google Cloud infrastructure, also features multiple security layers designed to prevent fraudulent votes, bot interference, and cyber threats.
Meskanen reinforced Choicely’s commitment to transparency:
“We have been dealing with different kinds of cybersecurity threats over the years, but our system has never crashed. The technology we use ensures that the voting results remain untampered and completely trustworthy.”
With this partnership, the Pipol’s online voting experience is set to be more interactive, secure, and engaging than ever before. The introduction of a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android makes participation more convenient and accessible. Meanwhile, a web-based version of the app will also be made available on March 14.
Yruma highlighted how this partnership transforms the 6th VP Choice Awards:
“We’re not just celebrating excellence – we’re redefining how the Pipol engages with their Favorite choices. This app voting system makes participation more exciting and interactive.”
The VP Choice Awards App will be made available for download in both App Store and Google Play store starting March 8th 2025.
